2019 Kia Forte IIHS Top Safety Pick +

Most people know Kia as the lovable Korean car manufacturing company with long-lasting vehicles that look great. Their new Telluride, by the way, even has as much luxury as a Land Rover for a fraction of the price. Some people know Kia for their 10-year, 100,000-mile warranties. Kia is also known for another form of excellence in the automotive industry: its IIHS safety awards. Having the safest vehicles is certainly a milestone worth celebrating in the automotive industry, as vehicle accidents are a serious matter.

Recently, Kia was awarded a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety for the 2019 Kia Forte that has specific headlights installed. This rating was based on a multitude of factors such as crashworthiness, crash avoidance & mitigation, child seat anchors, small overlap front on the driver side and passenger side, moderate overlap on the front and sides, roof strength, head restraints, and seats, front crash prevention, and headlights. Based on all of these categories, of which the 2019 Kia Forte achieved perfect marks in nearly all categories, it was determined that the Kia Forte was the safest car of its class for this year.

The only categories which weren’t perfect for the Forte were the child seat anchors, which scored an average rating. Other than that, as long as Kia Forte owners opt to use the LED projector headlights instead of the halogen projector headlight options (the only item to receive a score of “poor” on this test full of totally perfect scores in all other categories), they are driving one of the very safest cars on the road which has one of the very best warranties ever made in the automotive world: 100,000 miles of usage or 10 years.

If any of this information resonated with you, then you are cordially invited to contact or come on down to Carriage Kia of Woodstock to get a better idea of what the 2019 Forte is all about from our professional and knowledgeable team! IIHS Top Safety Picks are not given out lightly: many strict crash tests must be performed to receive an IIHS rating. It is essentially the gold standard of safety within the automotive industry.
