The 2024 Kia Niro EV is available in two trim levels. But if you think that inevitably means different battery sizes, different ranges, and vastly different MSRPs, you can relax because that isn’t the case. The all-new second-generation 2024 Niro EV comes in the imaginatively named Wind and Wave trim levels. Both models get the same powertrain, so your decision will rest on what additional features you want.

Something else that both models share is their stunning styling that adds a touch of class and a more premium feel to this impressive compact EV crossover. One of the first features you’ll notice is the striking silver or black boomerang body panel that Kia calls an air blade, which extends from the roof to the rear wheels. The new Niro EV is an attractive design that fits right in with other recently restyled Kia models and doesn’t look polarizing in any way.

It’s possible to debate if the 2024 Kia Niro EV is a crossover or more of a tall hatch, but there’s no disputing the impressive 39.8 inches of legroom those sitting in the rear seats will definitely appreciate. In fact, the second-row legroom in the Niro EV is now more than you find in the second rows of many three-row crossovers. The cargo volume behind the 60/40 split rear seats is also more generous this year, with 22.8 cu.-ft., compared to the 19.4 cu.-ft. of the previous model.

Standard base model features include dual-zone climate control, a power tailgate, roof rails, heated front seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
